Eon and Chalmers collaborate on energy research and education

Chalmers and Eon are working together in a ten year collaboration to strengthen and develop research and education within the energy field. The aim is to develop knowledge and techniques for safe and environmentally sustainable energy supply, transmission and use. The collaboration also aims to educate competent engineers to meet the future demands of the energy industry.

Four research and education themes have been identified in the collaboration:
  • Future Energy Systems
  • Efficient Use of Biomass
  • Nuclear Reactor Safety
  • Technology Assessment from a Sustainability and Risk Perspective

“Eon believes that the energy industry is facing a challenging transformation where new and changing technology, consumer behaviours, business models and regulations will drive the development of a sustainable energy business. Eon has a strong vision and wants to be at the front line driving the transformation. Cooperation with external knowledge organizations as Chalmers is considered as an important part in navigating towards the future of the energy industry.”
