One goal of the CEI was to stimulate and increase interdisciplinary research, and in a bibliometric study we found that the number of publications originating from the CEI involving more than one research group had doubled between the periods 2008-2010 (3.8 %) and 2011-2013 (7.0 %), showing that we had succeeded. The co-publication rate is highest in the Energy Combine and Technology Impact Assessments, where 12 % of the publications are co-publications between research groups.
In the period 2011-2013, we had 248 co-publications with international collaborators. The collaborators are found mainly in Europe, but also world-wide as illustrated below, where the size of the circle indicates how frequent we co-publish with researchers in the particular country.
