Take the opportunity to support students in an international competition organized by the U.S. Department of Energy for universities from all over the world to design and
build a self-sufficient home, using solar energy as the only energy
source and equipped with technolologies that permit maximum energy
efficiency. As the first Swedish university, Chalmers has decided to participate in Solar Decathlon 2013.
You can contribute with your main products, your excellence or a financial contribution. The Solar Decathlon competition contributes to the strategic development of the construction sector by taking advantage of performance and cutting-edge technologies from the research front. '
Participation in Solar Decathlon provides prestige to the building industry in Sweden, in Göteborg and at Chalmers.
