Rules of procedure for undergraduate programmes
Approved by the President on March 17, 2008, to be in force from February 28, 2008.
Chalmers University of Technology is entitled to issue degrees based on the Award of Certain Degrees Licensing Act (SFS 1993:792) and the government decision of 2007-06-28 on the Award of Certain Degrees Licensing Ordinance (U2006/9375/UH, U2007/4718/UH). The extent and requirements for examination and a degree are set by the President. Students who have successfully completed a course at another university, within or outside the country, and which is equivalent to a course or part of a course, can be credited with this in his/her programme at Chalmers. Students can also be credited with knowledge and skills acquired on another programme or through professional activities. A decision regarding credits is reached in the manner decided by the President.
Successful completion of courses may form the basis for a degree to the extent they can still be considered relevant when taking the degree. More detailed instructions are issued by the President.
It should be possible for a student to be awarded a degree when the requirements have been satisfied and should receive, on request, a degree certificate from Chalmers. For a degree certificate to be issued a certain minimum amount of studies must have been pursued at Chalmers. More detailed instructions are issued by the President.
Students who have completed part of their studies at Chalmers and another part at a Swedish or foreign university may graduate from both universities if both grant their approval. More information
