euroFOT Final Event
On 26-27 June 2012, the results of the first large-scale European field operational test of advanced driver assistance systems will be made public. SAFER is a part of the EU project euroFOT and will play an active role at the event, both in the exhibition and in the technical programme. The event is open and free for all, and takes place in Brussels!
The EU project euroFOT has brought together a comprehensive array of organisations to test intelligent vehicle systems across Europe. Car and truck manufacturers, suppliers, universities, research institutes and others stakeholders - in all 28 organisations are involved. The aim: to make road transport safer, more efficient and more pleasant!
Now, after one year of field testing 8 distinct functions assisting 1200 everyday drivers on European roads across France, Germany, Italy and Sweden in detecting hazards, preventing accidents and making driving more efficient, using a multitude of sensors and devices monitoring every aspect of individual driver behaviour in real-world traffic conditions, the euroFOT consortium is proud to invite you to an exhibition and conference where you can learn about the results, see and experience the active safety systems in simulators - and talk to the euroFOT experts.
Conference
Join the euroFOT experts in exploring the euroFOT approach and results. A comprehensive programme will take you from the design and methodology, practical considerations and data management through to an in-depth analysis of results and impact and cost benefit assessment.
The opening ceremony will feature high level representatives from the European Commission and the euroFOT consortium.
Exhibition
The euroFOT exhibition is inspired by and modelled upon the FESTA methodology, and will feature active safety system equipped vehicles and simulators. euroFOT experts will be on hand to explain and answer any questions you may have, and to explain the preparation and design phase and the analysis phase.
Networking and support areas will be provided by iCar Support and FOT-Net.
Visit the project website for more information and full program!
