I only wish to attend the ceremony, not the dinner. Is this possible?

You can choose only to take part in the ceremony, but not the dinner. The most important thing is that you let the Events know of your plans in your registration.
However, you may not do it the other way round, that is take part in the banquet but not the ceremony.
