Malin Johansson has a postdoc position where the main task is to evaluate and provide measurements of sea-ice, ocean currents and wind based on satellite data. These data will provide input into a risk assessment model used to study environmental effects of oil spill along new shipping routes in the Arctic region. The research is carried out in collaboration between the departments of Earth and Space Sciences and Shipping and Marine Technology. Malin’s work is funded by Chalmers Area of Advance; Transport and the Swedish National Space Board.
