Today’s production technology within automotive and aerospace is bespoke, expensive and requires long lead times from project launch to delivery. The research for Dr Henrik Kihlman aim on simplifying design of production equipment, to utilize flexible equipment to quickly ramp up production and to utilize metrology to achieve precision in the production ready equipment and to enable reconfiguration and changes in production.
