Fjolle Novakazi

Fjollë Novakazi is an industrial Ph.D. candidate at Volvo Cars, affiliated to the Division of Design & Human Factors. Her research concerns how drivers perceive and understand driving automation systems. A particular focus is to describe and understand the phenomenon of mode confusion in the interaction between driver and automated vehicle. She approaches her studies through empirical mixed-methods research, facilitating surveys, in-depth interviews, naturalistic studies, and on-road observations.
​Fjollë’s teaching activities include both lecturing on aspects of human cognition related to product design as well as supervision of Master’s thesis projects.​
