Daniel Nåfors

PhD Student at the division of Production Systems, Department of Industrial and Materials Science

Daniel Nåfors is doing his doctoral studies at the Production Systems division since September 2016. Prior to the Ph.D. student position, he worked in the industry with his M.Sc. degree in Automation and Mechatronics.

His research focus is on how to improve the process of layout planning in factories using digital technologies such as Augmented Reality, Virtual Reality, 3D Laser Scanning and more. The research focuses specifically on what value the technologies bring, and which problems they solve.

His research projects are focused on working together with companies that actively perform changes to their production system, helping them identify and solve problems in their change planning processes.
