Karin joined the department in 2006 and is working with a project on system aspects of black liquor gasification. The aim of the project is to understand the energy system consequences when a black liquor gasification plant is integrated with different types of mills and external heat sinks. The economic and climate benefit of the integrated system are also discussed for different future energy market scenarios. A longer presentation of the project: Black liquor gasification as a part of the energy system

The project is carried out within The Energy Systems Programme and is financed by the Swedish Energy Agency and co-financed by the the Black Liquor Gasification Programme.
