Maryam Mahmoudkhani, Assistant Professor

Maryam Mahmoudkhani joined the department in June 2009. She has been a PostDoc fellow in Energy and Environment System group at University of Calgary, working on “Application of Energy Efficient Caustic Recovery Techniques to the Direct Capture of CO2 from the Air” since 2007. As for her PhD, she worked on Sustainable Pulp Mill, exploring the potential of re-using inorganic solid residues from wood-based industries in fertilization applications for forests as an advanced technology in minimizing the negative impact of nutrients loss in the forest soil when harvesting the wood.

- M.Sc. (2000) and Ph.D. (2005) degrees from Chalmers University of Technology, SWEDEN.
- Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Calgary, Alberta, CANADA (2007–2009).
- Joined Chalmers in 2009.
