About Learning Centre

 

With the starting point in Chalmers vision " Chalmers - for a sustainable future" the Learing centre collects, forms and distributes practice related knowledge about learning processes connected to technology and engeneering.  Focus is on Education for a sustainable future in these areas.

Chalmers Learning centre is an arena for collaboration, dialogue and support for various groups and activities that work to enhance learing for Chalmers students and teachers.

Learning Centre reports directly to Vice President Maria Knutson Wedel and has its physical residence on campus Lindholmen (house Patricia) next to the department of Applied IT. Within AIT the divisions of Engineering Education Research (EER), Language and Communication and Learning, Communication and IT. Together they form a powerful Learning environment for research, education and collaboration.

Since 2006 Chalmers has an Unesco Chair within Education for Sustainable Development. Professor John Holmberg holds the Chair and the activities within the Unesco Chair is linked to Chalmers Learning Centre since 2010.
