Rolf Andersson, Ph D, Associate Professor (Docent) in Microbiology, Fellow Scientist Hygiene/Microbiology at SCA Hygiene Products AB.

Rolf Andersson´s professional background is applied research in the food area and personal hygiene products. After a Ph D from University of Lund, Rolf worked at SIK – The Swedish Institute for Food and Biotechnology as Scientist and Manager of the Microbiolgy group. After 17 years at SIK he moved to SCA Hygiene Products in 1992 and since then he has had different management positions primarily within the Research organisations. Rolf has been Research Director with responsibility of the total research program covering areas like Absorption, Surface and Polymer Chemistry, and Bio Science (skin care and microbiology). Besides, he established an Open Innovation way of working. After 12 years as Research Director he was appointed Senior Advisor and Fellow Scientist Hygiene/Microbiology in 2009. His technical area at SCA includes microbial hygiene both personal hygiene and hygiene in premises focusing on infection prevention, hand washing, cleaning, and probiotic bacteria.
