Research interests: organisation and economics of innovative engineering work, opportunities and business models, innovation processes.
Maureen McKelvey is Professor of Industrial Management at the School of Business, Economics and Law, Gothenburg University, Sweden. She is currently Dean of the Graduate School for Masters programs. She took her PhD in 1994; took her Habilitation degree (docent) in 1996; and became Professor of Economics of Innovation at Chalmers University of Technology in 2000 (to 20080101). She has also developed Masters programs and during 2002-2007, she was Director of RIDE, which is a research center set up by the Swedish Agency for Innovation Systems, and she is an IMIT Research Fellow. Her research group has published numerous articles on topics relating to innovation and entrepreneurship, in particular in relation to high tech industries like biotechnology and software, in relation to open innovation between firms and universities, and in relation to public policy issues for universities role in the knowledge society. Prof. McKelvey has published six books, more than twenty international journal articles, and numerous book chapters as well as interacted with policy-makers and companies. Curriculum Vitae
