The department offers basic courses and advanced courses within the MScEng programmes for Chemical engineering, biological engineering, chemical engineering with physics and the BScEng programme for chemical engineers.

At the department of Chemical and Biological Engineering there are four different graduate schools, covering all the research fields. The graduate schools are Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science and Bioscience.
