His Ph.D. work was done at the Departments of Organic Chemistry and Polymer
Technology (Chalmers University of Technology) and he received his Ph.D.
degree in organic chemistry in 1995. The title of the thesis was "Synthesis
and Properties of Substituted Poly(thiophenes)".
After receiving his degree he spent one year as a post
doc. at the Institute for Polymers and Organic Solids, University of
California at Santa Barbara.
In 2004 he was appointed professor in Polymer Chemistry at Chalmers
University of Technology.
Mats Andersson's research group is active within the field of Polymer
electronics.
