Vacant positions

Vacant PhD Student and Postdoc Fellowship positions are continuously coming up in the Norden Lab as specific openings advertized in the press  -  some current projects are listed below.  In addition, as the various projects evolve new openings may come up and be filled with relatively short notice. This concerns particularly the Postdoc Fellowship positions as they allow more flexibility to adjust a project after the candidate’s background, collaborations with other groups and the requirements of the granting program.  Candidates interested in joining the Lab should follow the ads but are also encouraged to come up with their own suggestions and ideas confluent with the thematic projects defrayed by the KAUST Award, the Advanced Researcher ERC grant or the SUPRA Linnaeus Program, described at their respective sites.

A PhD student position at Chalmers University of Technology may consist of 4 years research studies normally defrayed by some external resource, which are combined with 20% undergraduate teaching duties (salary from university) making up a total of 5 years employment.  For foreign and not Swedish-speaking students, who are unable to participate as teachers in the undergraduate classes, the normal arrangement is instead a 4 years 100% research salary contract, generally as a fellowship (tax-free stipend).
