EducationPLUS informs about plastics for a sustainable society for many reasons and on several levels.
Besides education and conducting research where the environmental aspects are fundamental, PLUS is also working with lobbying to demonstrate that it is quite possible to produce plastic from bio material sources. The technique is already here and the nature itself contributes with the raw material, for example cellulose from trees and crops! PLUS encourages the possibility that in a few years, we will have profitable plants in Sweden converting ethanol into ethylene, thus providing the plastic industry with renewable raw material.
