The construction sector is one of the largest in the Swedish economy, and plays a highly visible role in all aspects of society, including the daily existence of every individual and business. At Civil and Environmental Engineering we cover the whole area, from planning to implementation, while paying attention to environmental issues, energy and financial concerns.

The Master's Programmes at Chalmers are strongly linked to advanced research on which two thirds of the university's total budget is spent. It is in the areas of particular research strength that Chalmers had decided to create the Master's programmes. Upon completion of studies, candidates will be granted a Master's degree.
