Reactor DiagnosticsWithin the field of reactor diagnostics we perform analysis of noise measurements taken at Swedish power plants, partly to test our newly developed methods, and partly to analyse events at power plants where we can apply both known methods and our new methods. To this field belongs also the use of In-Core Fuel Management (ICFM) codes. Through an agreement between Vattenfall and Studsvik Scandpower, we have access to the Studsvik Scandpower core master codes CASMO and SIMULATE, with which we can do core calculations in realistic cores. SKI/SSM ProjectsThese projcects constitute a long-term research and development program concerning the development of diagnostics and monitoring methods for nuclear reactors. Here is a list of all the reports available (all the reports were published by SKI):

Ringhals ProjectsThe long term goal of the cooperation between the Department of Nuclear Engineering, Chalmers University of Technology and the Ringhals nuclear power plant is to utilize the research potential of the Department in treating reactor physics problems related to the operation of the power plant. This is achieved in a co-operative research project, in the course of which the understanding of relevant problems increases at the department as well as methods are elaborated and implemented for their solution.
