Goals:

Optimize manufacturing process with respect to machining of new cast iron materials

Account for material meso-scale structure of Compacted Graphite Iron (CGI) as prototype using multiscale material modelling

Focus on material behavior at high deformations and rates relevant to typical machining parameters.
