![]() EDUCATIONAL RESOURCES AT THE DEPARTMENT OF APPLIED MECHANICSEducation makes up a large and important part of the work we do at the Department of Applied Mechanics. Faculty at our department teach at several of the undergraduate, Master’s and continuing professional development programmes at Chalmers. Theory and applicationAs a student at one of our educational programmes, you will spend a large part of your time in our lecture halls, computer labs and rooms for group study—these are the premises at Chalmers where you gain your theoretical knowledge. But in order to render an engineering education complete and prepare you for taking up your new profession, you must also get some exposure to practical applications. A good education requires creative learning environmentsTo be able to offer a practical dimension to the programmes we teach, it has become necessary for Chalmers to offer equipment and premises that meet the tough requirements placed on our education by ourselves and our students. As a consequence, to accommodate these activities, we have added a number of different learning environments to our department, including our Prototype Laboratory, Course Laboratory and Mechatronics Laboratory. Complete your thesis work with usBesides our unique lab environments, we also offer you access to work spaces and computers that you may use when it’s time to do your project assignment or Bachelor’s or Master’s degree project.
